To Ride MATS' Fixed Routes...

Simply insert your payment (cash only) into the fare box, located next to the driver, upon boarding. Please use exact fare, neither the fare box nor the bus driver are able to make change.

For those eligible for reduced fare, we encourage you to apply for a reduced fare photo ID.

Effective Fall of 2020, passes will only be able to be purchased at either the Herman Ivory Terminal, 351 Morris Street or the MATS Administration Building, 2624 Sixth Street. As MATS bus passes are provided by a number of local agencies and non-profit organizations, MATS has a strict “NO CASH REFUND” for any single-ride or monthly bus pass.

Transfers

If you are transferring, present your transfer slip to the bus driver upon boarding. Transfers are free and valid for 30 minutes and must be requested upon boarding. They are intended for use to complete a one-way trip and are not valid on issuing route or for return trips.
